Dave, the host, was very... read more helpful and knowledgeable with recommendations of sights to visit in the surrounding Nambucca areas. Just a note the Sydney to Brisbane or vice versa train goes past the carriages during the day and night. If you are a light sleeper, the noise may wake you during the night . I would definitely recommend staying in Wirrimbi carriages.

Following the easy directions from the listing you’ll arrive to the carriages and be greeted by your host Dave who is friendly and knowledgeable and knows just how to treat a weary traveller!

The carriages are exactly as described and you feel like you’re stepping into your very own private suite on tracks.

The property looks over the train line below and is equipped with everything you need.

We didn’t venture further than our carriage as we had brought provisions and were on a tight schedule but I would definitely be back in the winter to experience a quiet wine by the fire.

We stayed in the red carriage and the bed was very comfortable and the rain and cicadas sent us off to sleep nicely.
